The third annual Bowies Down Brunswick is returning to Fortitude Valley in Brisbane this November. An evening dedicated to David Bowie incorporates a charity walk raising funds for The Cancer Council as well as a dance party.
After rising to prominence in the late 60s as one of the fathers of Glam Rock Music, David Bowie revolutionized the music industry as he combined funk, soul, pop and electronics into his music. Ultimately ensuring his fanbase crossed over multiple generations. His passing in early 2016 was devastating for his fans. Therefore, the event founder Kristian Fletcher is aiming to bring together Bowie’s Brisbane fans for a night of celebration and fun to pay tribute to an icon.
On Saturday the 10th of November, Kristian Fletcher will present the third annual event dedicated to celebrating Davie Bowie all whilst raising money for an important cause. The dress up charity walk will commence at 6pm from Netherworld. The walk will conclude at the Osbourne Hotel. Following this guests will dance into the night from 7pm on wards.
The party will celebrate 45 years since the release of the iconic Bowie Album, Aladdin Sane. For only $10 per person, anyone over the age of 18 can join other Bowie fans for a night of fun with a DJ, dance floor and licensed bar.
