Although the smashed avo currently dominates the brunch and breakfast scene, there’s nothing quite like the taste and treat of pancakes. If you don’t know where to get your next pancake fix, we’ve got the lowdown on the best destinations in Brisbane for pancakes, hotcakes and crêpes.

Billykart Kitchen, West End
Billykart are known for their great food and their unique twists on classic breakfast dishes. Brisbanites should try their buttermilk and ricotta pancakes. With caramel, bananas and a scrumptious coconut twist, it truly is a match made in heaven.

Rogue Bar + Bistro, Newstead

Shingle Inn, Brisbane Square
Shingle Inn’s savoury twist on the pancake stack is nothing short of divine. Crêpes are stacked over layers of avocado, bechamel sauce and chicken, and this is topped with cheese and shallots. It’s part of their all-day menu, so there’s no better reason to justify having pancakes for lunch.
