We have pulled together a list of things you can get up to on this glorious winter weekend in Brissy. There’s lots going on at the moment - something for everyone (even those who hate winter).
1. Ice Skating in King George Square
It's back! This weekend is the first of 4 weeks where you can go ice skating in our city centre. There will be plenty to do, including skating (of course), an inflatable slide, toboggan racing down the slope and off-ice entertainment. This event is suitable for all ages and is the perfect winter activity. Be sure to visit this winter wonderland!

2. Finders Keepers Markets
The incredible Finders Keepers Markets are back! These markets truly are one-of-a-kind with the unique artists, makers, designers and more. This is the perfect place to support small local businesses and pick up some uber-funky items. There will be food, fashion, home-wares and more - something for everyone. It is on all weekend, so there will be plenty of time to check it out.

3. Margaret Olley Exhibition at GOMA
The time has come for the incredible pieces from Margaret Olley’s ‘A Generous Life’ collection to be exhibited in Brisbane’s GOMA. Margaret Olley has spent most of her life in Brisbane (we can probably claim her as our own) and we are truly lucky to have this collection being featured until October. Be sure to get there early before the crowds swarm. This is a free exhibition for you to enjoy.

4. The Milton Markets
The Milton Markets bring us joy every single Sunday! This unique local market includes delicious food, fresh produce, live music, arts & crafts, and much more. The market is worth the visit, so grab your morning coffee and have a stroll through the street.

When: Every Sunday, 7am - 1pm
5. Lifeline Bookfest!
Book lovers unite! This weekend there will be 4.5km worth of books, DVD’s, puzzles, sheet music and more! That is A LOT of books, and prices start at $1! Not only that, all funds raised go directly to Lifeline Australia. Grab your loose change and get reading!
